// 6/6/2012: Camden Market//
So after class got out, I went to the Camden Street Market in an attempt to find my family some cool London souvenirs and stumbled upon a stand that was selling “Dr. Dre Beats” headphones (of course, they were knockoff). The sound quality on them was really decent, actually, so I decided it’d be a great gift for my brothers. I managed to haggle the guy down from 47 pounds for two sets of headphones, to only 25 pounds for two sets!
I was feeling pretty accomplished until I walked by another stand selling these knockoff “Beats” and the guy offered me one set for 9.99 pounds. This is when I began to seriously question the quality of these headphones. So I went back to the stand to ask for my money back, only to be lied to by the vendor because the owner of the stand supposedly managed to pick up my 25 pounds within a matter of 10 minutes. Fishy…
After arguing with the guy for about five minutes, trying to convince him to take his shitty 9.99 headphones back and give me my money, a family walked up showing interest in the same product. The man tells the family he’ll give them one set of headphones for 25 pounds. So what do I do? The rat that I am, trying to get rid of these stupid things… I sell my two sets of headphones to the family, right in front of the guy’s face. Needless to say, I was pretty satisfied with myself. :)
